In the area of structural components in aluminum casting, deviations from the target geometry often occur after the casting process and subsequent heat treatment.
Different variants for achieving the necessary dimensional accuracy are too cost-intensive, such as thickening and subsequent mechanical processing of critical surfaces. Or the small quantities that make a product-specific straightening system unprofitable are reasons for a robot-assisted straightening system.
The aim here is to have a straightening system that is as modular and flexible as possible by simply exchanging the component fixtures, which makes it possible to straighten several different components and projects on one system using set-up units, thus ensuring the highest possible capacity utilization.
